This next generation of hydraulic ABS features a compact cab-mount or frame-mount electronic control unit (ECU), plus simplified, higher-reliability wiring harness arrangements and new PC-based diagnostic capabilities.

Components

Electronic control unit (ECU)
- State-of-the art electronics function as the "brain" of the ABS
- Compact designs are available in both cab- and frame-mount configurations for application flexibility
- Constantly monitors wheel speeds and provides system performance information
- Designed for optimum performance with vehicle retarders

Modulator assembly
- Comprised of ABS solenoid valves, pump motor and two accumulators
- Inlet and outlet valves control the brake pressure to each wheel to prevent lock-up
- Controls speed of each wheel individually for optimum performance

Wheel-speed sensing system
- Advanced sensors designed for heavy-duty commercial vehicle applications provide reliable monitoring of wheel speeds
- High signal strength provides excellent system performance and maximum protection from electromagnetic and radio frequency interference
(EMI/RFI)
- Completely sealed and protected from moisture and corrosion

Simple diagnostics
- Indicates status of ABS operation
- Standard blink-code information is provided to
