Empowering Vehicle Operators ON and OFF the Road
The enhanced system integrates two advanced
features—power line carrier (PLC) communication and generic data
inputs/outputs—to the already-proven technology of the first-generation Easy-Stop system.
PLC technology enables communication between the ABS ECUs in the tractor and trailer. In combination with the generic inputs and outputs, PLC provides an entirely new foundation for tractor/trailer data transfer. Data that can be communicated via PLC communication includes status of lift axle or door latch, tire pressure, reefer temperature, load density, distribution or weight shift. Each generic input/output offers the future opportunity to monitor or control a given trailer activity, with our Premium system offering up to four input/outputs.
